Today, I want to tell you about the one secret to being stress-free to live in the present moment. Let us start by looking at what stress is and the impact it has on our bodies. Stress and Your HealthAccording to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It is how your body reacts to any challenge or demand. Thoughts, events, or feelings of frustration, anger, or nervousness can result in stress. When your body experiences stress, it releases hormones to make your brain more alert, muscles tense, and pulse increase.  Some health problems associated with chronic stress include: ● High blood pressure ● Heart disease ● Diabetes● Obesity ● Depression or anxiety  The 1 Secret to be Stress-Free: Live In The Present MomentNow that you know the dangers of stress, you may be thinking of ways to alleviate any chronic or unneeded stress from your life. In short, the 1 secret to being stress-free is to live in the present moment. When you live in the present moment, you let go of both the past and future to instead live your life with your body, feelings, and immediate situation joined as one. The benefit of living in the present is that you focus on what you can control and let go of things that are out of control. You might be thinking, “Who doesn’t live in the present moment?” and brush off this advice. But the truth of the matter is that very few people intentionally live in the present. Let us try a short exercise. I want you to close your eyes and think about everything that you have done today. Especially take note of all the times that you lived in either the past or the future. Common examples of living outside the present include worrying about tomorrow’s busy schedule, allowing past relationship mistakes to dictate resent relationships, or staying glued to your phone in social situations.  My guess is that a lot of your day was spent worrying about the past or the future. If this sounds like you, then it is time to start living in the present more.Of course, thinking about your future and reflecting on your past are both good things. In fact, thinking about your past and future helps you to grow and create the life you want. But it is important that you use the past and future to create a present that makes you happy and fulfilled. Start harnessing your energy towards the ability to live in the present moment. Allow yourself to feel emotions as they come and focus on the tasks that are directly in front of you. The frantic pace and constant demands of our daily lives can leave us exhausted, unhappy, and overworked. Practicing meditation can help you relax your body and mind while also bringing you back to the present moment and helping you find inner peace in the midst of daily stress. Finding a quiet place to meditate, having a poised posture that is comfortable, having an object to focus on, and being able to develop a positive attitude without attachments are all important parts of the practice of meditation. Find A Comfortable Place To Meditate  If you are just beginning your meditation practice. For this reason, you require a location where you can feel completely unwind and be free of all kinds of stressors. Distracting devices, such as your cell phone, should be turned off before you begin your practice. Keep Your Body In A Good Position The way your practice goes can be influenced by your posture. While sitting is the most natural posture, you should find a position that is both comfortable and conducive to concentration. Avoid sleeping-inducing positions like lying down or reclining unless you have a medical condition that keeps you from sitting. The Object Meditation Method If you want to start meditating, you'll need something to focus on. Your breath is the best object to meditate on. Take three deep breaths, then relax and focus on your breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.  You can use a candle flame, or the object can be a repeated mantra that focuses on the breathing process or on bodily sensations. You need an object to focus on when doing meditation to improve your concentration. Keeping A Positive Attitude Finally, a positive outlook is essential for successful meditation practice. When you have a positive outlook, you can see things from a different perspective, even when you're dealing with stressful situations. When you adopt a passive mindset, you can simply observe your thoughts as they pass through your head, without becoming emotionally invested in any one of them. It's critical to maintain concentration while meditating. When your thoughts begin to stray, bring your focus back to the subject at hand. It has deleterious effects on both the brain and cognitive performance. There are two distinct styles of music: one was developed by scientists to alter the waves in your brain, and the other meditation music for sleep is more melodic in nature and helps you into a state of profound relaxation so you can have a better night's sleep. Both varieties are quite effective in their use. Sounds that are similar to droning are typically used for the music, which has the effect of making your brain feel happy. When adjusting the volume, the first thing I do is locate a setting at which I can hear everything clearly, and then I drop it down by one or two notches from there. Because of this, the volume is just right for me at this point, which is right before I fall asleep. When you are seated or lying down in a comfortable position, give this song as much or as little of your attention as you feel is appropriate. While we usually advocate using headphones for the best results, it is important to note that doing so is not required.
